“Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” Garners Two Emmy Nominations

Congratulations are in order for Dolly Parton and the cast and crew of “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” on their recent Emmy nominations! The announcement of the 2021 Emmy Nominations brought news that the hit Christmas musical on Netflix has been nominated in two categories: Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming.
For more than two decades, we’ve had the honor of collaborating with the legendary and beloved icon Dolly Parton on a multitude of amazing projects. One such project is our ongoing partnership with DollyParton.com. When “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” was in production, we welcomed the opportunity to help promote the film by creating a space on her official website that featured heartwarming and engaging holiday content for her millions of dedicated fans.
Generating Buzz With Exclusive Content.
To highlight the film on DollyParton.com, we wanted to give viewers a unique experience that could only be found on Dolly’s official website. We caught up with Dolly in Nashville to film and produce a series of one-on-one interviews and brought in other stars of the film, via the power of Zoom, to create exclusive videos in celebration of the film’s release.
Any Christmas movie of Dolly’s is sure to be a star-studded extravaganza, and for “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” we had the opportunity to capture interviews with some of the biggest stars in the business. In these interviews, the cast and crew shared special memories from on and off the set. Legendary Director and Choreographer Debbie Allen shared how overjoyed she was to step back into her musical theater shoes. Award-winning actress Christine Baranski gladly embraced the opportunity to play yet another Scrooge-like character, especially since she was acting opposite an angel played by Dolly Parton. And Hollywood star Jenifer Lewis’s inner child lit up when the filming of the musical brought back childhood Christmas memories.
We also had the opportunity to capture interviews with Treat Williams, Josh Segarra, Jeanine Mason, Mary Lane Haskell and Matthew Johnson, with the entire cast sharing their love for Dolly and how they forged lasting friendships while making the film.
Perhaps the most memorable of the videos we produced were a series of “Bonus Interviews”. In one video, the cast and crew come together for a fun compilation of messages sharing their “Dolly Love.” In another exclusive, the cast participates in a quick-fire round of “Word Play.” Finally, for DollyParton.com, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to find out what everyone’s “Favorite Dolly Songs & Movies” are!
With the production of this exclusive, featured content for DollyParton.com, we were able to create excitement around the film by giving Dolly’s multitude of fans a special, one-on-one chat with the stars.
