September Sarah’s Fund Day

Sevier County seniors enjoy lunch gathering during monthly Sarah’s Fund Day.

Each month, the Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center hosts a fun gathering sponsored by Sarah’s Fund in honor of the late Sarah Scott Timmons. These special events are open to all Sevier County seniors as an opportunity for them to socialize and attend various events and outings they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. September’s gathering welcomed 15 ladies to the activity center.

Tacos and Ice Cream.

The East Tennessee weather isn’t showing any signs of a reprieve from summer temperatures, so Activities Coordinator Ashley Sellars decided to treat the ladies to a taco bar and ice cream at the center this month. They all loved being able to build their own culinary creations and thoroughly enjoyed topping off their meal with a bowl of delicious ice cream. They left the luncheon with smiles on their faces and expressed their joy in looking forward to next month’s event.

S.D. Professionals delights in providing these monthly opportunities, via Sarah’s Fund, for Sevier County seniors to make memories with cherished friends. For more information on how you or your loved one can become involved, please call Ashley at the activity center at 865-453-8080.
