Sarah’s Fund Jewelry Fun

Sevier County seniors enjoyed creating one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces during monthly Sarah’s Fund Day.

Summer is quickly approaching, and the monthly attendees of Sarah’s Fund Day at The Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center decided to enjoy a day indoors at the center this month. The program has seen growth over the last two months, adding several more seniors to the group.

Pizza and Pizzazz.

This month’s attendees opted to dine in. They put in a special request for pizza and were delighted when their lunch delivery was made by iconic pizza chain, Domino’s.

After enjoying a meal together, they spent the rest of the afternoon cultivating friendships and crafting a variety of jewelry pieces. They were thrilled to show off their personalized designs to each other and to staff members at the center.

It’s a joy for SD Pros to be able to bring together this precious group of people each month. Providing a monthly opportunity for Sevier County seniors to share a day of food and fun is what Sarah’s Fund Day is all about. If you know a Sevier County senior who would benefit from these activities, contact Activities Assistant Ashley Sellars at 865-453-8080.
