S.D. Professionals Celebrates Five Years of Sarah’s Fund
Jacob Timmons and SD Pros celebrates the 5th anniversary of Sarah's Fund with a donation to the Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center
Jacob Timmons and the amazing team at SD Pros celebrated the 5th anniversary of Sarah's Fund by presenting the Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center with a $5,000.00 donation. The donation will support monthly gatherings and outings for Sevier County seniors and is on behalf of Sarah’s Fund, a program Timmons founded in honor of his mother, the late Sarah Timmons.
Sarah was a very loving and social person. Her zest for life throughout her senior years is what inspired Jacob’s vision and mission for Sarah’s Fund. The fund was created to enable Sevier County seniors to enjoy a special day of activities each month, either through craft days at the activity center or outings to a wide variety of restaurants and popular locations in and around the county. The Sarah’s Fund Days have become a monthly staple in the lives of the attendees.
Timmons shared, “Being at the activity center today and seeing the difference that Sarah's Fund is making in the lives of these precious people really brings all of us such joy. I am grateful and thankful to Ashley, Karen, Will and everyone who works so hard to make this possible for our Sevier County seniors."
Activities Coordinator Ashley Sellars added, “We at the My People Senior Activity Center are grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful program. Sarah’s Fund brings joy to the lives of so many, and the smiles that our monthly adventures give these ladies brings joy to our community and staff. We truly wish we could have known Sarah Timmons, but her memory lives on each and every day here at the center. Thank you, from all of us at the My People Senior Activity Center.”

Sarah’s Fund, established by S.D. Professionals and managed by Dolly Parton’s My People Senior Activity Center, honors the legacy of Sarah Scott Timmons by providing monthly activities and assistance for Sevier County, TN, seniors at home, as well as for those in short and long-term assisted living facilities.
The Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center
The Sevier County Senior Center, built in 2002, was rebranded as the Dolly Parton My People Senior Activity Center in 2018 in honor of Dolly Parton’s mother and father. It offers a range of programs, activities and services, primarily for adults aged 60 and over. Most programs are free or are offered at a nominal cost. The Sevier County Council on Aging is also located at the center and provides information and referrals, plus a wide variety of services, including a senior housing program.
